| Simon is a former
jeweller, now in his third year at Newark. He has put his skills to
use in making this inlaid cello, which is shown during the varnishing
process. The RAB trust awarded him a grant in 2006 to cover the cost of the wood and some tools for making this
cello, and again in 2007 to fund a week's course in bow-making.
