Sandrine Osman
return to award winners

Sandrine was awarded funding to buy wood and tools to help make her first cello.  After leaving Newark, she spent a while working in New York, and then had few months' work experience with Amnon Weinstein in Tel Aviv.   In April 2007 she went to Cuba to work voluntarily repairing instruments under the auspices of the organisation Luthiers sans Frontières.  While she was a student, Sandrine's interest in this organisation led her to organise the making of three violins as a team effort from 40 students, which were given to Luthiers sans Frontières.  The RAB Trust was able to liaise on Sandrine's behalf with the violin suppliers The SoundPost, who generously donated 40 bows to be given to violin students and music schools in Cuba.  Sandrine is currently working in Paris.
