Michal comes from Prague and was awarded a grant during his first year at West Dean College, which he used to buy a selection of woodworking planes. The photographs show work completed during the course - a violin with baroque set-up based on the Stradivari 'Maurin' of 1718 and a 5-string Pardessus de Viole based on Michel Colichon.
