Jose was awarded
a work placement with Marc Soubeyran, where he spent three days setting up
one of his violins under Marc's supervision. He writes of the
experience:
"The
work experience was absolutely wonderful and never thought I could change
my point of view so much in only 3 days. Marc is such a talented maker and
I should say that we got along really well and had a good time working
together."
The
photographs show Jose at work on the cello he has made as part of his
third year coursework at Newark, and the preparation of a baroque
fingerboard - baroque instruments are an area of work he's keen to pursue
when he leaves college.
