Emily was awarded funding so that she could attend a bow-making course in Cambridge.  The pictures show the bow she made during the time.

Having now completed the course at Newark, Emily is pursuing her interest in bow making, building up her tools and workshop and developing contacts amongst bowmakers.

She writes: " I am continuing to save money to complete the set up of my workshop and to gain more knowledge and experience from the gracious contacts I have made. I am truly grateful to the RAB trust for their support as I believe I have finally found my calling card, and would not have completed a bow at this point in time. I have built on my experience from Newark Violin School and have found myself enjoying the engineering -like qualities associated with bows.
The Cambridge course was both inspiring, informative and enjoyable - tiring at times, but greatly recommended!"
