“It's been quite busy this week between work and with customers of course, but very useful to see how a workshop works and realise that a big part of the job is dealing with people.  I really enjoyed being plugged in the real world of violin making as I know the course does not cover all the parts of the job... The RAB Trust offers a number of annual awards including:

1. •Financial grants.  These typically help to fund the purchase of wood or tools or underwrite the  cost of a specific project.  The trust does not cover tuition fees or normal living expenses.
   

2. •Information about workshops willing to provide short term work experience placements with established professionals.  
   

3. Repeat applications  from successful candidates will only be considered on receipt of  written and photographic information about the work undertaken using the initial grant.
   

4. Applications are considered annually, the closing date being 31 March.  You can download an application form by clicking RAB trust application form 2008.pdf .  Alternatively, please contact the secretary, giving your name and address.
