Alexandra Apenberg Alexandra was awarded a grant to help her buy tools, fittings and a case for her first cello, pictured here.  She was also given help with workshop placements, and some teaching at the Cambridge violinmaking courses for amateur makers.

cello scroll Having now completed her course at Newark, Alexandra has sold the cello.  The funds released to help support her  when she spends September and October 2004 in Cuba, working for the organisation Luthiers sans Frontières, and will also pay for tools and the wood for the next cello.
