Julien was awarded a grant which he used to buy the wood for the cello he has been working on during his third year at Newark, shown "in the white" in these pictures.  We also arranged a work experience placement for him with Tony Padday in Somerset.  Julien writes about this:

"The placement I had at Tony Padday's was fantastic and we stay in touch. I've been to his workshop two weeks ago for more experience and I think he is happy to do it again later on. I've learnt a lot stylistically and technically."
